BCA Ranked Nationally - October 2009
The U.S. Department of Education and the Council for American Private Education recently published scores from nationally normed standardized tests, which provide benchmarks for identifying those schools whose students are achieving at the highest levels. Based on our superior math and reading scores, BCA was identified as a school that ranks in the top ten percent of all private and public schools in the nation in Reading and Mathematics.
Such superior achievement reflects highly on our academic program, our optimum learning environment, our curriculum rigor, our focus on learning, motivated students, committed parents, instructional soundness, our nurturing corporate culture, and of course, our exceptional faculty and staff who so effectively and energetically serve our students each day. BCA is pleased to offer to our students and the community a strong academic program whose successful learning focus places us at the top of all schools nationally.
A Word from the School Administrator
Dear Friends,
Warmest greetings! There are few decisions that are more significant than determining who will teach our children. The pivotal role of instructing, molding, guiding, and directing young hearts and minds is weighty, difficult, and laden with responsibility. Such is the responsibility that BCA enthusiastically embraces. Emerson said the true test of civilization is "the kind of man (or woman) the country turns out". Our faculty and staff are focused, intentional, and immersed in the task of "turning out" students who are academically prepared and spiritually sound. Our "reason for being" is to provide our students with an excellent academic education and to disciple and guide them in the Christian faith and a biblical world-view.
As educators, we recognize the great gift and opportunity that is given to us when young students are placed in our care. As a school, we pledge to work tirelessly on your child's behalf. As a Christian educational institution, we will leave no stone unturned in helping students succeed academically, spiritually, emotionally, socially, and physically.

BCA Designated as One of the Top Private Schools in the Triad
We are pleased to announce that BCA has been identified as one of the Top Private Schools in the Triad in this summer's issue of the Business Journal (2009). Our rigorous and challenging academic program, and our work in grounding students in a Christian worldview are recognized as superior in a twelve county area, which includes schools from Durham, Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Thomasville, High Point, etc. BCA was the only school from Alamance county that was designated. We thank our wonderful administrators, faculty and staff for their sustained and unfailing efforts in providing our students with an excellent education within the context of nurture, warmth, and love.
Accreditation and Certification
BCA is accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
BCA is in compliance with the standards and requirements of The North Carolina Division of Non-Public Education and the North Carolina Department of Human Resources Division of Child Development.
Exemplary School Program Award
In 2004, BCA received the National Exemplary School Program Award from the Association of Christian Schools International for our work in critical thinking and information classification with Thinking Maps. BCA was one of only thirty-eight schools in the United States to receive such an award out of a possible 5,000 schools nationwide.
